Cn. Lucretius Trio, 136 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.90 g, 12 h), Rome. TRIO Head of Roma to right, wearing crested and winged helmet; below chin, X (mark of value). Rev. CN•LVCR / ROMA The Dioscuri, each holding spear, on horseback galloping right; above their heads, two stars. Babelon (Lucretia) 1. Crawford 237/1a. RBW 978. Sydenham 450. A sharply struck and nicely toned example. Minor edge splits and with a few thin surface cracks, otherwise, virtually as struck.
